The chance to tender for business with a multi-national fast food outlet doesn't present itself every day, but when Swansea-based reseller Tel-bureau found itself in that position, backed by Daisy Communications Ltd (daisy) it was able to put forward a business communications proposal that couldn't be turned down.

Impressed with daisy's credentials, particularly its number one placement in the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 awards 2005, Tel-bureau was confident daisy would be able to provide the necessary services and support to win major business. And that proved to be the case when the opportunity to provide lines and calls to 500 McDonalds restaurants presented itself. Confident in the competence of daisy and their account manager, Tel-bureau was able to win business for more than 500 McDonalds stores across the UK, providing more than 3,000 lines. David Jenkins, sales director, said: "It was clear that daisy was staffed by high calibre individuals that understood the industry. It clearly approached the needs of the reseller in the modern telecoms environment and gave a strong indication that it would be prepared to go that extra mile." When looking for a reseller partner, the company was adamant it would work with someone who was as passionate about the customer as them. Before taking on the McDonalds account Tel-bureau identified the following factors as paramount:
Daisy stood out from the crowd by virtue of its professional approach and the clear structures it has in place to support its reseller partners. When Tel-Bureau had opportunity to provide lines and calls to McDonalds the company needed to be able to guarantee that business passed through tier one carriers as well as provide support 365 days a year, 24 hours. And having spoken to other prospective partners, Tel-bureau was left in no doubt that Daisy was the right company to be involved with and take on a stream of bigger business. But daisy's director of channel partners Mark Hickey was happy to accept that what we were talking about wasn't ‘hot air' and gave us the guarantees that daisy would support Tel-bureau. "And suffice to say laying claim to owning the McDonalds account has provided the company with a solid and resolute commercial platform to go forward." Daisy enabled Tel-bureau to facilitate appropriate tariffs and took, what David Jenkins refers to as "the hassle", out of the provisioning process. And likewise Tel-bureau's Head of Operations John Matthews has been more than impressed by daisy. He said: "With McDonald's, it is imperative Tel-bureau has to bill by an absolute deadline. We can have total confidence that the billing data arrives promptly and is met every month, and that gives us tremendous peace of mind." In addition to helping make possible the McDonalds deal, Tel-bureau also point to daisy and its ability to facilitate organic growth and acquisition. David Jenkins cites the acquisition of one of Tel-bureau's reseller customer bases as one such case. "Daisy were able to make what could have been a quite a difficult process totally the opposite and really did succeed in un-complicating the complicated."
