Nelson-based Daisy Communications has been nominated for two prestigious business awards.
Industry magazine Comms Business holds an awards ceremony every year in recognition of the achievements of communications companies. And following Daisy's success in being short-listed for one award in 2006, the company has now been short-listed for the Channel Development Campaign award, and its founder and chief executive officer Matthew Riley for the Channel Entrepreneur of the Year award. The first award recognises the work Daisy has carried out with its business partners and reseller partners, through both the strong and extensive portfolio of products it offers and the marketing support it provides. And Riley's short-listing for the Channel Entrepreneur award is acknowledgment of his innovation, commercial acumen, as well as the financial success and the development of the business. At the beginning of June a consortium from Daisy will travel down to The Royal Lancaster Hotel, London, for a glitzy ceremony where they will find out whether the company has been successful. In each category the company is competing against five of its rivals, but CEO Riley is just happy to be nominated. "We are challenging five strong competitors in each of the awards, and the very fact that we are up there among them is testament to the ongoing success of the company," he said. "2006 was a big year for the company and making the shortlist for these awards is recognition of the continuing growth and success we experience at daisy." |
