Unable to make outgoing calls or receive incoming calls

  • Remove any other devices from the telephone line, including modems, PDQ machines, Fax Machines, extensions etc.
  • Try a different analogue wired telephone (that you know to be working) in the problem socket
  • Speak to your Telephone System Maintainer (if you have one) for information on checking your telephone system.
  • Please ensure that, in the case of Multiline or ISDN lines, you are aware of the exact channels/lines affected.  

 

If you are still having problems after trying this, there may be a fault on the line.

Please be advised that, if the above checks are not carried out and the fault is found with equipment or wiring on your premises, this may prevent speedy resolution of your fault, and may also incur charges if an engineer is appointed.
