06/11/2009 - Eversheds senior associate joins Daisy
Daisy Group Plc has appointed former Eversheds senior associate David McGlennon as Group General Counsel and Company Secretary.
David (35) joins Daisy from the Manchester office of international law firm Eversheds, where he was a senior associate in the firm’s corporate group.
While there, David advised Daisy Communications Limited on a wide range of transactions, culminating in its £200m reverse takeover of Freedom4 Group earlier this year.
He has subsequently advised the enlarged Daisy Group on its acquisition of the trading assets of AT Communications Group Plc and the £17m acquisition of the telecoms division of Redstone Plc.
He said, “Daisy is making a real noise within the telecoms industry and I am looking forward to helping the company achieve its strategy of becoming one of the largest UK providers of telecommunications services and solutions to the mid-market.”
Matthew Riley, Chief Executive Officer of Daisy, said: “The board and I are delighted to welcome David to the Group and we are confident that his knowledge of the business, combined with his legal and transactional expertise, will prove invaluable in helping us achieve the next stage of growth.”
David, who lives in Hale, Cheshire, read law at Cambridge University before completing the legal practice course at Nottingham Law School.
Prior to joining Eversheds in 2006, he spent seven years working in the corporate practice at the London headquarters of Clifford Chance.
